Magic Bio

Angelo Stagnaro has performed magic and mentalism for nearly thirty-years. He has performed his stage show in the United States, Italy, Denmark and Singapore and street magic in Indonesia, Tibet, China, Japan and India. He has appeared on television in Spain and in the United States.

He has finished writing a mentalism encyclopedic series that will be published in late 2003 in English by H & R Magic Books of Humble, Texas (USA) and in German by Zauberhandlung Manipulix Publishers of Lalling, Germany.

For four-months in early and mid-2005, Angelo Stagnaro toured 30-cities in Europe to lecture on general mentalism and cold reading. His second European lecture performance tour was in 2010.

His other main writing experience includes five-years as editor-in-chief of “Smoke & Mirrors,” the Internet’s largest monthly e-zine for stage and close-up magicians. The seventy-page electronic periodical is sent out to 4500 professionals in 63 countries and has received praise from nearly every important magician in North America and Europe.

Angelo was among the small handful of New York magicians to hold the much coveted position of House Magician at FAO Scwartz’ flagship store. He held the position for three-years. He is also served as an officer and as the chairman of the Society of American Magicians’ prestigious Occult Committee. The committee was founded by Harry Houdini in the early part of the 20th century. It’s an organization of professional magicians dedicated to investigating and revealing fraudulent spiritualists and psychics. He is also the founder of a children’s troupe, of magicians, “Los Reyes Magos,” (The Magician Kings) based at Manhattan’s New Alternatives for Children; an organization dedicated to orphans and foster children in the New York City area. The children meet regularly and are trained in different aspects of magic. The culmination of which is a full stage production planned for December, 2003.

He is a member of the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians and a lifelong member of the Circulo de Magos Sevillanos (The Magic Circle of Seville, Spain.) He has appeared on television in Spain (Canal Sur,) and in the United States.
